KwaZulu-Natal Athletics, supported by the KwaZulu-Natal Department of Sport, Arts and Culture, successfully hosted the 2025 KZN Provincial Cross Country Championships at the Howick West Sport Complex on Saturday, 2 August.
Despite the chilly conditions, the event saw an impressive field across all age groups — from under-9 athletes to seasoned masters aged 80 and above. The high turnout and competitive spirit reflected the province’s commitment to inclusive sport development across all communities.
Athletes competed over varying distances and age categories throughout the day, with standout performances in both junior and senior divisions. The top finishers will go on to represent KwaZulu-Natal at the South African Cross Country Championships set for September 2025.
