Get Ready to Move! The KwaZulu-Natal Department of Sport, Arts and Culture is hosting the Isukile Programme in KwaMsane under Umkhanyakude District. The day is filled with activities providing platforms for community members to participate in various activities including football, indigenous games, aerobics, golden games, cycling, netball etc. MEC for Sport, Arts and Culture Mntomuhle Khawula joined in on the fun, engaging in activities showing support for the community, which promotes healthy lifestyle and talent development.
One of the standout moments of the Isukile Programme, hosted at KwaMsane Sport Complex in the Umkhanyakude District, was the thrilling Under-12 soccer tournament. The event featured spirited competition among 8 girls’ teams and 8 boys’ teams, each representing their schools with pride and passion. With talent identification and development at the heart of the Isukile initiative, the programme also drew the attention of professional scouts in both netball and soccer. Among them was Pedro Diaz from AmaZulu FC, pictured here alongside some of the young participants, offering inspiration and encouragement to the rising stars of tomorrow.
