KWAZULU-NATAL SPORT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMME – 2026 ACADEMIC YEAR
The KZN Department of Sport, Arts and Culture is making available a limited number of Sport Scholarships to talented athletes for the 2026 academic year. People with a disability are also encouraged to apply.
Purpose of the Scholarship:
• Retention and development of sporting talent in KwaZulu-Natal.
• Providing opportunities for talented athletes with/without a disability from rural and historically disadvantaged areas to excel in sport.
• Support talented athletes from the province to obtain podium positions at national and international competitions.
• Development of youth through programmes of education, skills, and health.
• Provide access to accredited skills development programmes that will improve opportunities for future employment and contribute towards the alleviation of poverty.
