The uMgungundlovu District Club Development Component proudly hosted the 2025/2026 Club Development Awards, celebrating excellence, growth and dedication across all sporting codes. Richmond Local Municipality was crowned Local Municipality of the Year, while UMgungundlovu District Netball Association earned Federation of the Year honours. SAFA uMgungundlovu was recognised as Best Complying League, and MUBS Ladies Football Club celebrated Team of the Year success. From administrators and federations to promising stars and Players of the Year, the ceremony highlighted outstanding performance, leadership and community impact in rugby, cricket, netball and football, marking another milestone year for district sport development.
