From the 21st to the 31st of July the World Heritage Committee will hold their annual session in New Delhi (India) to discuss, amongst other matters, the new properties to be inscribed in the World Heritage Site List.

KZN Premier Inauguration

Honourable Arthur Thamsanqa Ntuli has been inaugurated as the Premier of KwaZulu-Natal by Judge President Thoba Poyo-Dlwathi. This significant event marks the beginning of a new chapter in the leadership of our province and the 7th administration.

KWAZULU-NATAL CELEBRATES AFRICA DAY

The KZN province made sure that the 1Oth edition of the Africa Day Celebration was a massive one and Dr Ntuthuko Mahlaba MEC for Sport, Arts and Culture topped it off by officially opening Shayamoya Library which is worth R37,7 million. “Fun fact”, in a space of 5months the department has returned to open a second library in the Greater Kokstad local municipality following the opening of Franklin Modular Library in December 2022.

Siyabonga Sangweni Sport Complex Handover

KZN Department of Sport, Arts and Culture undertook to pay a befitting tribute to Siyabonga Sangweni of the Orlando Pirates and Bafana Bafana fame by building and naming an iconic sport complex after him, right in his home village of Dondotha near Empangeni on the north where he remains an idolised hero and role model.
